17.12.1939 Bombed and sunk by German aircraft 145 miles ENE from May Island Firth of Forth ( Skipper J. Hall), Ronald Tweedie & Andrew Banks wounded. Aircraft attacked crew while they were in the small boat. Crew rowed 3 miles to S.T. "Thomas L Devlin" GN 58 which had also been fired upon.
