The Granton & Leith fleets fished mostly in the area marked in Blue, Some skippers preferred to fish the Faeroe grounds including the Faeroe Bank more than others, looking for quality fish marked in Green. During the summer months trips to Rockall, St Kilda and Eagle Island ( West Coast of Ireland) were undertaken, Catches were landed at Ardrossan, Oban & Ayr. The area marked Light Brown is where the early trawlers fished.
